He has also perhaps unknowingly been represent as the angry young man, while "Khirad" is unusually caring, noble and independent, she is also too innocent and trusting for her own good. which makes this characters of the show fare different than Hindi shows which glorify the protagonists, Humsafar does none of that. This Pakistani drama-romance is a new and different and makes everything seem more exciting in comparison to its Indian counterparts. Right from the sets to the understated emotions which are gradually heightened only when the script demands, Humsafar will make you spell bound. Humsafar's biggest strength lies in the unspoken love between its lead pair. The chemistry between Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan is also one of the reasons why Humsafar is a must watch. Both of them excellence and wow you with their performance. This is my first IMDB review and it is a pleasure that it is for one of the best drama serials to have aired on television. Most Indian soap operas have a tendency to go on and on, it was a refreshing change to find this Pakistani gem which wrapped up within 23 episodes. The usage of the word wrap is co incidental to the fact that this show is a gift to television and now to digital platforms like Netflix. The intense but natural acting, the engrossing story, the well written dialogues, the captivating background music and the smooth screenplay contribute to making this show a classic.
I never thought that I would care about a drama serial but I felt the pain that the lead pair was going through and wanted them to come together asap! We are used to engaging serials and films that are either suspense thrillers or horror based but to watch a drama that is heart pumping is another experience all together. I could not stop myself from watching one episode after the other since Netflix gives that liberty! Anyone that watches Humsafar won't go empty handed after the last episode.
Until we meet again, check out my books on Amazon. There are a lot of lessons, some direct, some indirect which we can use in our lives.Sang-e-Mar Mar ( Urdu: سنگِ مر مر, transl. He looks even better in Badshah Begum… Hot ? He is so hot… Dude can act well, and in this drama he has looked so good.
The only thing that she has done on her own without any worries was having that affair with Khurram, but I guess she was only doing that to get away from her situation.įarhan Saeed, oh goodness… Someone turn on the air conditioner. Haniya Amir has acted so well as dari sehmi ladki who can’t even speak properly. She lies to Nafees and tells him that Haala refused to marry Naveed. “Mohabbat ke hone ka koi waqt thori hota hai, ” Haala says. He rushes to the hospital to be with Haala… To be with Riffat Begum, I meant. Long story short, she calls home for help and conveniently it’s Hamza who picks up the call. I mean… Where is she drawing the inspiration from? From a 90’s drama? I don’t think girls like Haala exist today, which is why Hania’s performance impresses me. If was watching this like twenty years ago, it would have made sense. I know I said this in my review of the first episode that this story is dated. I totally agree with Hamza: kaun si sadi mein jee Rahi hai yeh ladki? Haala is alone to attend to her, and well… She isn’t too confident of handling things so things go out of hand. Riffat Begum isn’t well and she’s brought to the hospital. If she ever gets caught, it will not be her. She pretends to be Sameen, and gives him Haala’s backstory. Rumi is flirting with Hashir, the van driver. I still don’t understand the relevance of this subplot. Can you believe that? He has the audacity to blame Haala. Tch… He didn’t do good to Shafaq or Haala, and it almost feels like a payback for his deeds. Thurram (it’s fun to call Khurram ae Thurram, try it) is struggling to make ends meet and he is contacting various people for financial support. Hamza is giving all the attention that Haala has always wanted, but he doesn’t know that his attention is causing Haala more trouble. Hamza is just too concerned for Haala, too concerned for Shah Jahan’s liking.
